This season will be a deciding season for most of the Arsenal players. There are a lot of players need to prove themselves this season. The likes of Rosicky, Walcott, Vela, Arshavin, Denilson & Diaby play for their career. The speculation about Cesc future didn't help and maybe this season will make him decide whether to stay of leave.
But there's one player people seems to forget because of this saga and the debate about getting new goalkeeper and CB. That lads name is Jack Wilshere. He sure very quite this summer compares to last season. This season will be a big season for Wilshere. He is a confident lad and any team will love to have him. A loan to Bolton surely will boost his confident more.
Wilshere have good technical ability. He is a sign of a great players in the making. With a good technical ability, confident and committed. This season he will surely desparate to be given a chance and as long as Arsene in charge and he always have a good games he will always get the chances. The only things he need is prove that he can play at the highest level that is not in EPL only but perform well at Champions League as well.
Maybe this sound a bit familiar with Cesc. When he was introduce, he just a small kids and relatively unknown to the world. During the summer, Arsenal are constant being bombarded by the Vieira transfer saga. The last season Vieira play for Arsenal that was the season where Cesc step in. The performance of Cesc when he steps in for the injured Vieira was enough to let Arsene sell Vieira to Juventus the next season. Eventhough Cesc aren't as good as he is now and for me only 25% of what he is now and maybe 10% of Vieira ability, it was enough to convince Arsene.
This season maybe Arsene will do the same to Wilshere and Cesc. It should be Ramsey but he got terrible injuries last season. This season Wilshere have no obstacle between him. Last season, he need to compete with the likes of Ramsey and Merida which force him to play wide at the right. This season with Ramsey injured and Merida gone, he will have his chances to play at the midfield.
If Wilshere can step up and show his potential, he sure will knocking on the midfield playmaker role. If he can perform as half good as Cesc, we might say goodbye to Cesc next season. In my personal view, if Wilshere can prove he can take Cesc places, I will prefer him and let Cesc go. Being graduate from the Arsenal academy, he will sure show more commitment to Arsenal compares to Cesc. And maybe he will become the next Mr. Arsenal. It is long due that Arsenal need a new Mr. Arsenal as Tony Adams used to be.

Is The Number 9 Shirt Cursed?
Number 9 is the number for lethal striker. It symbolised the striker with great finishing which will bags 24 to 30 goals for season. But for Arsenal case, the number 9 seems like a very unlucky number. For a while Arsenal haven't have the classic number 9.
The last great number 9 for Arsenal for me will be Alan Smith. After that, I just haven't see a great number 9 at Arsenal. Alan Smith is just a classic English striker. Tall and strong, he have a great finishing both with his feet and head. That is the classic number 9. Didn't have all the technique and skills, but gifted with great finishing.
The curse of the number 9 at Arsenal started when it was wore by Anelka. I quess he is a bad luck to every team he join. Just look at France, a potential winners, but because of him France team are a disgrace. Anelka join Arsenal as an unknown name. Developed become a promising striker, he request to be transfer to Real Madrid.
After Anelka transfer, the number 9 shirt was wore by Davor Suker. A world cup golden boot winner, he does promise a tones of goals. H is a proven goalscorer. He scores quite of goals compares to his appearance. The arrival of TH14 on the same season also limited his chances as Arsene prefers the partnership of Bergkamp and Henry. After his contract run outs, he leaves Arsenal.
Then comes Francis Jeffers. The new number 9. He describes as the fox in the box. An English lad offer so much promise and highly rated by Arsene. When he played, he does show his ability. His play reminds me of Filipo Inzaghi. Jeffers score most of the time from his positioning being in the right place at the right times. When he offers so much promise, then he get injured frequently. He's being injured most of the times and Arsene release him after frustrated with the frequent injuries he had.
The arrival of Reyes bring an interesting prospect to the squad. Tips to be an Arsenal legend, he gets home sick and request for transfer back to Spain.
Julio Baptista wore the number 9 later on loan. Nickname the beast, his best games are when he scores 4 goals against Liverpool. The other games, he just very poor. After a season loan, he just not good enough for Arsenal. Luckily Arsenal didn't sign him for permanent in the first place.
After the departure of Henry, Eduardo arrive as his replacement wearing the number 9. He slowly adapt into English game and once he get a few run of games, he how how good he is. He just don't miss. When his Arsenal career look like blossoming, he had his leg broken. After returning back from th broken leg, he just not as the same as he was. Now Arsenal are ready to offload him.
The history of the number 9 just not that great. Number 9 seems to be unlucky to Arsenal. It seems like it was curse. So who will wear the numebr 9 next? Will the next number 9 break the curse or being the victim? Or should Arsenal retire the number 9? I just hope the curse is broken and we get the classic number 9 in the near future.

Another World Cup Winner From Arsenal
Congratulation to Cesc for winning the World Cup. For Van Persie, better luck next time. When the final is between Spain and Netherland, we all know Arsenal will have another world cup winner. It is either Van Persie or Cesc. Honestly speaking, I hope for a Dutch win but I also happy for our little captain for lifting the World Cup.
Robin Van Persie have a disapponting World Cup for his standard. I think the World Cup final is the worst game he ever play. He just not involve or should I say that the Dutch players just don't want him to involve. He rarely have a good service like he always had at Arsenal. I really pity him. To play upfront alone is difficult enough not more to say that he just didn't get the support from the wide player and he didn't have a right services. Maybe if Bergkamp playing we might have seen a free scoring Van Persie. The dutch players all look so greedy for the headlines and poor Van Persie get all the critics for his lack of goal. But it's not his fault, he's a striker and he need good service to enable he score and he lack that service.
Congratulation to Cesc. It really heart warming to hear he dedicated the World Cup to Arsenal. Cesc yet again prove to be intrumental to the spanish team in the final. After helping Spain win Euro 2008, he again help Spain to win the World Cup. Forget about Xavi, Inieasta, Villa and Torres, the star of the game that night is Cesc and Navas. Spain never look like to score with their first eleven. They might even lose it if only Robben have scores, or if Robben fell under the challege from Puyol and Puyol red carded. But the introduction of Navas and then Cesc really have lifted the Spanish game.
Cesc found he almost score with a great run between the defender and with only goalkeeper to beat, he fail to find the net following the save from the keeper. Unlike other Spanish players, Cesc is not a divers. On how many occasion he was challege but he reamin stay on his feet. The other Spanish players, they might think they are in the swinning pool and not the football field. All they do is diving. And this poor English reff just cannot see it and keep giving the dutch yellow card. Come to Cesc again, he really show how he have develope under Arsene Wenger. He just drive the Spanish team from the middle. As a classic number 10, he really outshone the c**t call Xavi. And his passing provide the chances for Iniesta to score the winner.
With now the World Cup is over, the preseason is looming. All the world cup players will have their short holiday before they back to Arsenal camp. I just hope the World Cup didn't exausted our Cesc and Van Persie. With our first game of the season is at Anfield vs Liverpool, I just can't wait for the season to kick off now.

Maybe Arsene wait until the World Cup over?
Even Arsenal have sign 2 players already in form of Chamakh and Koscielny, the transfer market just seems so quite and dull. Why? Because Arsenal need at least 6 new players for the coming season. With only 2 signing, Arsenal need another 4 more. We need 1 goalkeeper, 2 defender (or 1 defender and 1 defensive midfield) and 1 midfield/winger. But I wonder why it is so quite?
Maybe Arsene wait until World Cup end. We all know Arsene are at South Africa now working for the French TV, so maybe it is hard for him to do the deal in the transfer market. But does he is looking for the star of the world cup or the world starting eleven? I doubt it but I like the idea if he really buy the star of World Cup. Just imagine Ozil, Muller, Honda, Sneijder, Eduardo (Portugal GK) joining Arsenal, it sure be a dream come true as far the transfer is concern. But I just doubt it.
But it just save to say, Arsene will buy at least 1 World Cup player. Current signing are not involve in the World Cup, so it is understanable they are there at Arsenal now. But for the next signing, I'm pretty sure the one that involve in the World Cup and maybe that's why we haven't have any news of any signing yet.

Theo Axed Because He Cannot Cross, But Where Are Crouch Goal Assist By Lennon & SWP
When Theo was axed from World Cup squad, the reason gave was he cannot even cross the ball to Peter Crouch and Lennon and SWP are better crosser compare to Theo. So theorically England will have a lot of goals from Peteer Crouch and Heskey with an assist from Lennon and SWP crosses.
But that was not the case. We all know what happen to England at World Cup. With only 3 goals and hardly treaten the opposition, England are considered lucky even to advance from the group stage. And what supprise me, where are the goals from Crouch and Heskey assist by a cross? And where are the cross from Lennon and SWP? They don't score, they don't create and they even don't give the fullback any problem at all. So Capello really make a bad decision on his team selection.
Gary Neville was right, eventhough I quite suprise to see a Man Utd players backing an Arsenal players, Capello made a wrong decision. By unselect Theo, England have lose one of the players that can do something special and score a goal himself if he cannot create a goal. With the evidence of the goal draught that England have, I do see what Neville say is right. You cannot take a goal source from a team and hope to succeed. The game cannot be win by how many beautiful cross the team had, but how many goals the team had.
Eventhough I glad Theo was not selected, but I quite mad because Capello cannot prove his decision of axing Theo was a right decision. But I also laugh for all the Arsenal haters pundit out there kicking Theo and said Theo axes are justified. Now you all see, how crucial Theo and Arsenal to England team. Now who's laughing? Hahahaha.....
